Product description : Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo
The Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera RSR was produced in four copies in 1974 to participate in the Constructors' World Championship of the same year. Porsche Usine entered one and sometimes two cars in the colors of the Martini Racing Team. They were entrusted to the official crews Muller/Van Lennep and Koinigg/Schurti. Although they had almost the same power (about 500hp) as their rivals, the Porsches had neither the lightness nor the maneuverability of the latter, which raced in the Prototype category. However, their speed and reliability enabled them to obtain honorable results in the nine races of the season, including two second places: one at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and one at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen. This product is typical of Italeri attention to detail which there is plenty of, sometimes the parts were over complicated which made them very fragile to handle and fix and in a few instances the part had become part of the spru which gave it's own challenges, overall a great kit with some minor issues *
