Product description : Goliath and German Pioneers
The Goliath was a small 1.5m long tracked machine driven remotely by three cables. The function of the Goliath was to get closer to his targets and destroy them with the 60kg of explosives he was carrying. 7,564 units were produced in total, divided between those with 12V electric propulsion and those with thermal propulsion. They were mainly employed by Pioneer Assault units (Sturmpioniere) against enemy fortifications and resistance points. They were used on all fronts, and particularly in Normandy. The kit makes it possible to build 2 Goliath piloted mines and 3 sapper figurines in combat action. Tracks consisting of sections and pads made of injected plastic.
