Product description : A-4E/F/G Skyhawk
The American carrier-based Douglas A-4 Skyhawk light bomber developed in the 1950s was a small, compact aircraft ideally suited for use on aircraft carriers. Its small-scale delta wing dispensed with any mechanism for folding the wings. The two air intakes placed high on the fuselage fed the Pratt & Whitney J52 turbojet engine which made it possible to reach a speed of 1,170 km/h. The internal armament consisted of two 20mm cannons and the pylons under the wings and the fuselage could receive air-to-ground, air-to-air missiles, rocket baskets, smooth bombs or even additional tanks. The A-4 was used extensively during the Vietnam War. Besides the US Navy and the US Marine Corps, he has been employed by Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait and Israel, among others.
