This exceptional kit represents one of the B-17 Flying Fortress bombers used by the famous 100th Bomb Group of the U.S. Army Air Forces, known as "The Bloody Hundredth." This nickname arose from their incredible bravery and the heavy losses they suffered during air missions over occupied Europe.

Military history enthusiasts and modelers alike will appreciate the precision and quality of this kit, which includes finely molded parts, multiple aircraft marking options, as well as a full range of decals and additional parts for enhanced realism.
Historical description:
The 100th Bomb Group, formed in 1942, played a key role in strategic bombing over Europe during World War II. Stationed at Thorpe Abbotts Airfield in England, this group became notorious for its risky missions and the heavy losses it sustained. Their nickname, "The Bloody Hundredth," was earned after several particularly perilous missions where a high number of B-17 bombers failed to return to base.
Despite the losses, the 100th Bomb Group continued to carry out crucial operations, significantly contributing to the Allied war effort. Their courage and determination left a lasting mark on the history of military aviation. This model commemorates these heroes and their contribution to the Allied victory.
