Product description : Plastic model aircraft Sukhoi Su-35 "Flanker E" 1:48
KH80142 - Sukhoi Su-35 "Flanker E" plastic model aircraft
The Sukhoi Su-35, designated under the NATO code "Flanker-E", is a fighter Russian multi-role generation "4++". Designed to enhance the offensive capabilities of the Su-27, the Su-35 was developed to engage both air and surface targets. Initially, the name Su-35 designated the export version of the Su-27, created according to the directives of the Russian Air Force from 1992. This aircraft participated in several demonstrations during air shows and responded to calls for international offers, particularly in South Korea and Brazil.
< span style="font-size:12.87px;">The concept of a deeply modified version of the Su-27, called Su-35BM, emerged. The first prototype of this model was completed in the summer of 2007 at the Komsomolsk-na-Amure Aviation Production Association (KnAAPO) plant, located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The first public presentation of the aircraft took place in the same year at the Moscow Air Show (MAKS). On April 14, 2009, a Su-35BM prototype crashed during a high-speed ground test.
A first contract for 48 aircraft, deliverable until 2015, was signed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on 18 August 2009, during the MAKS exhibition. A second order for 40 additional aircraft to be delivered after 2015 was signed on July 31, 2014. The first two Su-35S entered service in 2011, followed by eight in 2012 and twelve in 2013. The last two of these first orders were delivered on February 16, 2016. From June 17 to 23, 2013, during the Paris Air Show, a Su-35S piloted by chief test pilot Sukhoi carried out 15-minute demonstration flights, highlighting its advanced capabilities .
