Product description : P-47D Thunderbolt (Europe)
The American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt single-seat fighter-bomber was powered by a powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine of over 2,000 hp allowing it to reach high speeds, particularly at high altitudes. Of an extremely robust design, it was heavily armed with eight 12.7mm Browning M2 machine guns and could carry bombs and rockets to increase its offensive capacity. The P-47 excelled in all types of missions: interception, bomber escort and especially ground attack. This last ability was particularly exploited on the European front in 1944/45. This kit offers the choice between various liveries of aircraft operating in Europe at the end of WWII. Airplane model kit - to be assembled and painted - Paint and glue to be bought separately
