What is a SIMCA car ?

The Simca is originally a French-Italian car created by Fiat to be produced in France. This process allowed Fiat to sell its models through a subsidiary without having to pay taxes in France. Little by little, the subsidiary became independent and started to sell its own models.  It was then sold under the Simca-Fiat brand from 1935 to 1938, then under the Simca brand alone.
With models more accessible to the middle class, the brand was soon bought by Chrysler and then by Peugeot in 1979.

What are the different versions of Simca?

The Simca has been declined in several versions since its creation. The first one, the Simca 1000, was created in 1957. A more economical, sober and modern model echoes the difficulties encountered for the supply of gasoline during the Suez crisis.
Then came the Simca Sport, which appeared from 1952 to 1962 and was produced in 17,445 copies. Born under the name of Simca Sport, this coupé-cabriolet was created on the basis of the American
Ford Thunderbird.
The
Simca Rallye was created as a competition model and is a derivative of the Simca 1000. It is declined in four versions:

  • Rallye
  • Rallye 1
  • Rallye 2
  • Rallye 3
