Players take on the role of wizards and their bands of mercenaries, seeking to explore the ruined town in search of magical treasures and artefacts.The rules of the game are relatively simple and easy to learn, making it an accessible game for beginners. Players deploy their miniatures on a game board, where they must navigate the ruined city, avoiding traps and dangerous creatures, while battling opposing bands of mercenaries.The aim of the game is to collect as much treasure and artefacts as possible, while eliminating the opposing mercenary gangs. The player with the most treasure at the end of the game is declared the winner.As well as its simple rules and clear objectives, Frostgrave is also appreciated for its progression system.
