Model Airways' latest entry into the world of historic wooden airplane kits is the most detailed and accurate Wright Flyer kit ever! This realistic static model reproduces virtually every detail of the real aircraft.
We designed our model without the usual fabric cover to show off its fascinating structural components.
The Model Airways Wright Flyer kit contains laser cut basswood parts for ribs and other wood components, as well as a host of Britannia metal parts for engine construction, complete with cylinders, magneto and radiator.
We include a brass chain and over 160 photo-etched brass pieces for fittings and braces to simulate the Wright Brothers' construction methods.
Three full-size, detailed plan sheets and a 28-page, step-by-step illustrated assembly manual will help novice and expert model builders achieve a museum-quality model.

Scale : 1:16
The scale 1:16 is used for large figurines, but also for model cars and armored vehicles.
A 1:16 scale model will be 16 times smaller than the original.
For example, a car whose actual length is 4m will be 10 inches / 25 cm long in the 1:16 scale (400/16 = 25).
The figurines in the scale 1:16 are about 5 inches / 12cm high.

To build a plastic model airplane, you'll need a few things :
- a cutter or cutting pliers
- and model glue.
You can also paint the model with brushes(acrylic or enamel).
The model consists of different parts to cut and assemble.
Construction time will vary depending on the number of parts.
