CONESTOGA WAGON
Model Trailways Conestoga Wagon 1:12 Scale Wood and Metal Kit The Conestoga wagon originated in the Conestoga Valley, near Lancaster, Pa., Circa 1750.
It was shaped like a boat with both ends curving upward.
to keep his charge from shifting when climbing the steep Appalachian roads.
Large wheels kept cargo dry when crossing rivers, and a waterproof canvas protected passengers from heat, rain, and snow.
Model Shipways The barrels on the sides of the wagon stored water, and the toolboxes contained the tools needed for repairs.
A grease bucket attached to the rear made sure the axles and wheels were properly greased.
The Conestoga wagon was a large, heavy vehicle that could carry up to 8 tonnes of freight.
He was driving about 15 miles a day.
Due to its enormous size and weight, the Conestoga cart required between four and twelve horsepower to pull it.
Our kit is the most historically accurate Conestoga wagon ever produced.
Highly detailed realistic materials include laser cut basswood body and wheel parts, metal hubs and axles, miniature nails, canvas cover, and scale rope and chain.
A sheet of photo-etched brass pieces reproduces the hardware and decorations of a full-size wagon.
The finished model is complete with working brakes and suspension.
Five blueprints and clearly written, illustrated instructions make construction easy.

If the motorcycle is 2.5 m in length, then the miniature will measure 8 inches / 20.8 cm in length (250/12 = 20.8).
Figurines in the 1:12 scale are about 6 inches /15 cm high.
