Product description : Panther Ausf A
The Panzerkampfwagen V "Panther" was designed as a direct response to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks which were outclassing the now obsolete Panzer III and Panzer IV on the Eastern Front. Powered by a 700 horsepower Maybach V-12 engine, it was armed with the high-velocity KwK 42 75 mm cannon, very effective against armor. Thanks to the good protection provided by its inclined armor, its mobility, its speed and its armament, the Panther can be considered one of the best tanks of the Second World War, and it was used on all the main fronts of the Italy to France, or even the Eastern front.
