About Phoenix Ikki:
Phoenix Ikki is recognized as the most powerful Bronze Saint in the Saint Seiya universe. Unlike his younger brother Shun, Ikki is often cold, solitary and filled with rage. This personality is partly due to his painful past on the Island of the Dead Queen, where he witnessed the death of Esmeralda, a young woman with whom he had fallen in love during his training. After killing his master in a fit of rage, Ikki took over the Phoenix armor and led the Black Knights before joining the cause of the goddess Athena. A true incarnation of the phoenix, Ikki grows stronger each time he is reborn from his ashes.
