Die cast aircraft SR-71A Blackbird
Long range reconnaissance aircraft.
Thanks to its 17740Kgp Pratt & Wittney J-58 afterburners, the Blackbird displays unrivaled performance with mach 3.35 (3700km / h) and an operational ceiling of 31000m.
It remains the fastest aircraft having ever been put into service and also holds an altitude record.
His performances were his major assets against enemy missile fire.
Its electronic equipment enabled it to monitor an area of 160,000 km², at very high altitude.
During high-speed flights, its titanium fuselage tolerated temperatures above 500 degrees.
32 copies were produced, 12 of which were accidentally lost.
It was retired from service in 1998, after more than 30 years of activity, but remains in reserve. Model: L46x25cm, realization in solid wood, carved and painted by hand.
On varnished Acacia base with engraved plate.
