Lindbergh spent controlling an aircraft to Ryan Airlines (a small company in San Diego).
End of February 1927, the chief engineer Donald A.
Hall and W.
Hawley Bowlus began work on a prototype.
Two months later, the Ryan NYP (for New York to Paris ) was ready.
Called 'Spirit of St Louis' in honor of St Louis Financial supported the project, he began a series of tests and then flew to New York between 10 and 12 May, setting a new transcontinental record.
On the morning of May 20, 1927, Lindbergh took off from CA New York, and after thirty-three hours, thirty minutes, he landed at Le Bourget after crossing 5810 km, at an average speed of 173 km / h.
The Ryan NYP was directly derived from the postal apparatus classical N-2 and its engine was a nine-cylinder radial Wright Whirlwind 230 hp.

Scale : 1:24
The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft.
It allows a high level of detail.
For example, a motorcycle model in the 1:24 scale will measure 4 inches / 10.4 cm if the original motorcycle measures 2.5m in length (250/24 = 10.41).
A plane in the 1:24 scale will measure 1 foot 6 inches / 45cm in length if the aircraft model is 11m long (1100-1124 = 45.8).
