Ship model Taurus
Tugs, like Taurus, were a family show in every American port and in the shallows at the end of the century.Until they were in office, they trailed passenger ships and they pushed heavy barges with ease.
During the 1930s, steam engines lost in favor of Diesel propulsion, and during the 1960s the steam units were all replaced.
Some steam tugs survive today as a museum relic.
