In the race to conquer the South Pole, three names shone in their own light: Ernest Shackleton, Robert Falcon Scott and Roald Amundsen.

The Endurance was launched on December 17, 1912 under the name " Polaris. In 1914, he participated in the famous "Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition" which crossed the Antarctic under the command of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

After the shipwreck of August 19, 1915, they were trapped in the sea ice by Weddell. For 522 days, they endured winds of up to 300 km/h and temperatures of 40 degrees below zero.

Shackleton, with a few men aboard the ship "James Caird", made one of the most memorable and heroic voyages in the history of navigation. With his entire crew, they achieved the most important feat of all...survive.

The expedition is remembered as an epic of overcoming, heroism and survival.
